Second Call Launched!
Two and a half years into its lifecycle, the Hungary-Croatia IPA Cross-border Co-operation Programme reached another major milestone. Following the preparatory work that covered the larger part of the first half of the year, the Second Call for Proposals was launched on 10 June 2010.
Parallel to the implementation of the first Call for Proposals, the work on the preparation of the second Call started, taking into account the time frame for the implementation of the Programme set by the programme implementing structures. In this way almost simultaneously with finalizing the contracting phase of the First Call, the last preparations for the second Call were carried out. This resulted in the Second Call for Proposals of the Hungary-Croatia IPA Cross-border Co-operation Programme being fully prepared and, following a positive decision of the Joint Monitoring Committee, launched on 10 June.
The Content of the Second Call
The Second Call for Proposals has been allocated a total amount of 11 070 000,00 EUR, which offers the opportunity for a wide range of different projects targeting Actions within Priority 1: Sustainable Environment and Tourism and Priority 2: Cooperative Economy and Intercommunity Human Resource Development to be awarded funding from the Programme.
Just like last year's Call, the second Call for Proposals within the Programme is open to all non-profit legal persons that comply with the rules set out in the Second Call for Proposals and detailed in the Guidelines for Applicants for the Second Call for Proposals. Both documents, as well as the official Application Form and a number of supporting documents needed for the successful development of a project proposal can be found on the Programme's Web site.
Most of the documents that are part of the Application Package have been developed based on the documents from the First Call for Proposals, with changes introduced based on the changes in the national and EU legislation as well as improvements developed from the lessons learnt from the First Call. The refreshed documents aim at facilitating the application and evaluation processes as much as possible.
Special additions to the Application package compared to last year are the Guidelines' translations into national languages. These unofficial translations are provided to the applicants to ensure additional assistance in project development and project proposal preparation phases.
Although it will demand a lot of hard work over the summer both for the applicants and the implementing structures, the Programme is hoping to have a sufficient number of high quality project proposals submitted to the premises of the Joint Technical Secretariat by the deadline set for 15 September, 17:00.
