The project focused on the joint development of tourist packages in the border area, with the results presented on a single website.
The trilingual portal
collects the wide range of the touristic offers of Virovitičko-podravska, Koprivničko-križevačka Counties on the Croatian side, and Somogy County on the Hungarian side of the border. One of the main aims of the project is to persuade tourist to come to the region and spend more than one day there.
To reach this goal, the project created 15 cross-border three-day tourist program packages.
To promote the cultural and natural assets the partnership delivered 100 short presentation film-spots about the tourist destinations
and local tourism service providers and entrepreneurs. An excellent and user-friendly mobile application, an interactive online tourist map, and a brochure are backing up the tourist database.
Project results were acknowledged among others by Ms Sanja Bošnjak Acting County Prefect of Virovitičko-podravska County, Ms Vesna Haluga General Consul, Consulate General of the Republic of Croatia in Pécs, Mr Ottó Karvalics Mayor, City of Barcs, Mr Norbert Biró Deputy Chairman of Somogy County Council, Ms Neda Martić Deputy Managing Director, VIDRA Virovitičko-podravska County’s Regional Development Agency, and Ms Helena Hećimović Member of Koprivničko-križevačka County Council.
