Celebration of Croatia’s EU Accession, Budapest/ Palace of Arts

On the occasion of the celebration of Croatia’s EU Accession organised by the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia in Hungary on 26 June 2013 in Budapest, Hungary-Croatia IPA CBC Programme book: Rivers Connecting Cross-border Region towards Croatian Accession to the European Union was also promoted. 

This retrospective overview of the Programme implementation is a catalogue of 140 projects funded so far under the HU-HR IPA CBC Programme, under two Priorities and fourteen Actions, showing off the numerous and manifold activities supported by the cross-border programme. The book will serve as a lasting reminder of the joint efforts of neighbouring countries and many border communities, small and big, to bring their people closer and to work together for a better, European future.
Host of the event, Ambassador of the Republic Croatia in Hungary his Excellency Mr. Gordan Grlić Radman promoted this 200-pages edition of the Programme in his welcome note addressed to more than 500 guests of the reception before special accession concert in the Budapest Palace of Arts. 
Concert was held with the support of the Government of Hungary and the Republic of Croatia under the auspices of the Croatian and Hungarian presidents, Ivo Josipović and János Áder. Many distinguished guests were present at the reception and the concert. Among them, before the joint performance of Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra and Hungarian National Choir in the Palace of Arts (Művészetek Palotája), audience was addressed by the ministers of foreign affairs of Hungary and Poland Mr. János Martonyi and Mr. Radosław Sikorski as well as Mr. Orsat Miljenić, Minister of Justice of the Republic of Croatia.
