State aid

1. What is the role of the State aid chapter (Chapter 4.5) of the Guidelines?

   State aid rules are referred to in the Guidelines for information purposes only. In every case, the State aid rules to be applied to projects awarded a subsidy will be determined during the preparation phase of the Subsidy Contract for the Community funding. In this process, projects will be assessed on activity level. When planning your project proposal, please be aware that if an individual activity falls under State aid, this might result in a change of the intensity of the subsidy for that activity, or it may induce additional administrational burdens. For a description of State aid rules per activity, please refer to Annex 5, part of the application package. Finally, please do not forget to fill in the State aid declaration for every Project Partner!

2. At what exchange rate do previously granted de minimis amounts have to be converted to EUR?

   Paragraph 36 (4) of the Decree of the Hungarian Ministry of National Development and Economy No. 5/2009 rules that \'In connection to the conversion of amounts to HUF referred to in EUR in the present Decree, the median exchange rate, published by the Hungarian National Bank with a precision of two decimals, valid at the last day of the month preceding the date of the grant decision has to be used\'.
